Chef Oscar Ly

Oscar Ly, was born in Lambayeque Peru, of Chinese father and Peruvian mother. His childhood was not easy and at the age of 13 he became independent having several jobs. In his youth his biggest passion was fishing, becoming a national champion in Peru. At the age of 17 he discovered his passion for Peruvian cuisine polishing his technique by reading cookbooks for the preparation of the best ceviches that were unique.

At the age of 65 he arrived in the United States, Miami looking for a better future for himself and his family. In the year 2001, Peruvian cuisine was not as well known as it is today. For him it was difficult to introduce his Peruvian dishes, however his constant perseverance and his exquisite dishes got to be recognized through all the restaurants where he worked.

Cevichino Restaurant

In 2013 he decided to open his own restaurant, Cevichino, just a few blocks from the restaurant where he worked.

The Peruvian restaurant Cevichino has become one of the best restaurants in the area of the city of Doral with its specialty of seafood.
Cevichino is one of the few restaurants that prepares its ceviches with a variety of fresh fish, such as Sole Fish and Grouper.
60 years of family tradition ensure the high quality of his cuisine.

Ceviche

Lomo Saltado

It is another Peruvian dish, since it has the fragrance of two millenarian cultures, the oriental and the Peruvian ones that have managed to perfectly balance the color and the flavor taking the same preparation to their fries. The Inca, Garcilazo de la Vega in his comments says that they arrived in Peru in 1538 and at that time they began to combine meat with other products from the east, and the perfect combination of good meat, onions, juicy and sautéed tomatoes arises, then add Sauces are made to order and served with french fries, rice and sprinkling cilantro and parsley.

Pescado a lo macho

It is a dish typical of the Peruvian coast, but in reality, it has become so popular that it can be found in any good Peruvian restaurant. It consists of fried or breaded corvina fillets covered with a tomato sauce that takes squid, shrimp, snails, shells, clams and other species such as garlic, chili and onions, usually served with white rice as garnish.
